“20” Card Game Competition Brings Big Crowd and Bigger Fun

Sunday the 11th saw nearly 100 card players gather for a lively “20” card game competition hosted by our very own Oregon Mafia. The evening kicked off with a relaxed potluck, giving both newcomers and seasoned players time to visit while everyone arrived.
The fun started immediately as Larry, Gwen, Bill, and Lia launched a raffle packed with prizes—and true to their word, everyone walked away a winner. One name after another was called, setting the tone for a night filled with laughter and good spirits.
Players then settled in at tables of five for eight rounds of “20.” While a few tables stayed focused and competitive, most quickly filled with cheers, playful banter, and plenty of excitement as the games progressed. For those new to the game, “20” strikes a perfect balance between chance and strategy, making it just as enjoyable for beginners as for longtime players.
Once all rounds were complete, the five lowest scores advanced to the championship table. A crowd quickly formed to watch the finalists compete through three intense rounds, complete with cheering and lighthearted heckling.
In the end, congratulations go to Eddie Meek, our grand champion!
We’re already looking forward to the next “20” competition later this season—when someone new will no doubt be aiming to claim that top seat.
