Efforts turned to the Owner's Lounge shutters this week at Outdoor Resort Indio as a team of dedicated volunteers stepped in to sand and prep the large wood panels for refinishing. These shutters are a signature feature of the lounge, and their restoration is part of the ongoing clubhouse remodel. While the sanding dust settled, progress continued behind the scenes—vendors are currently being interviewed and selected for the upcoming café demolition and bathroom tile installation. This isn’t your typical fast food—made fresh daily tortilla chips, beans with just the right amount of heat and fluffy rice. The taquitos, available in both flour and corn tortillas, are the star. I always enjoy the classic shredded beef in corn tortillas, but my favorite has become the chicken taquitos in flour tortillas—softer, flavorful, and still satisfyingly crispy on the outside. A fun twist on a traditional taquito that I haven’t found elsewhere.

While exploring El Paseo near Tommy Bahama and The Hideout, Linda and I discovered a hidden gem that’s quickly become one of our favorite stops in the valley—Sottovoce, an Italian-style coffee shop offering pastries, wines, and that perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

Exciting changes are underway at Outdoor Resort Indio! In this behind-the-scenes look, we take you inside the early stages of the clubhouse renovation. The stage floor is being prepped, old tile is coming out, debris is being cleared, and the bathrooms have been taken down to the studs. This ambitious remodel is all part of ORI’s ongoing commitment to elevating the resort experience for our vibrant Class A motorcoach community. The project is on track for a grand reveal just in time for the start of next season—and we can’t wait to share the transformation with you!

Residents of Outdoor Resort Indio wrapped up the season with a festive tiki-themed party featuring live music, dancing, great food, and the kickoff of the clubhouse remodel.

On a beautiful day with a perfect breeze, eight dedicated owners at Outdoor Resort Indio came together to respectfully retire and replace the American and Canadian flags. A week earlier, it was noticed that the Canadian flag was beginning to show signs of wear. Thanks to the quick action of the HOA management, new flags were ordered within the hour. When the need for replacement was brought to one of the owners' attention, he joined forces with fellow owners—representing both Canada and the United States—to organize a thoughtful and respectful ceremony. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the ORI owners who took the initiative to ensure this important task was handled with care, dignity, and pride. Your attention to detail and dedication to honoring both nations is truly appreciated.

Clubhouse Update – April 5, 2025 The remodel at Outdoor Resort Indio is officially underway! On April 5th, residents took turns swinging a sledgehammer to break ground on the clubhouse renovation. The ballroom, owner's lounge, library, game room, and café are all getting a fresh new look. The project is expected to be completed by November!

Outdoor Resort Indio welcomed guests in style this Thursday, opening its gates to showcase over 80 stunning luxury RV lots. From classic lots with charming BBQ kitchens to high-end pergolas with luxury upgrades and mind-blowing casitas, there was something for every RV enthusiast to admire. Visitors enjoyed delicious complimentary beer and hot dogs, while the night came alive with dancing and incredible live music by The Billies, a fantastic band from Redding. It was an unforgettable evening of fun, community, and dream-worthy RV living—watch the highlights now!
