Summer Progress Update – Clubhouse Remodel & Resort-Wide Improvements

As June wraps up and temperatures soar into the triple digits, big things are happening across Outdoor Resort Indio. While many owners and renters are away for the summer, progress is moving full speed ahead—and the results are starting to shine.

Clubhouse Remodel: Major Leaps Forward

Inside the clubhouse, renovations have entered an exciting new phase:

Walls & Wiring: Hardibacker is going up in preparation for new tile, most electrical and AV wiring is in place, and drywall is being installed.
Floors: Crews are cleaning and leveling the surface to erase scars from old carpet glue and the previous dance floor.
Ceiling & Roof: The three outdated chimneys are gone, the roof has been patched, and fresh tile roofing is in place—soon there will be no trace of the old fireplaces.

A special thanks to our dedicated volunteers who are sanding and staining new wood planks for the next stage of upgrades, and to Steve, who is expertly managing crews and keeping everything on schedule.

Resort Grounds: A Summer of Renewal

The beauty of ORI extends well beyond the clubhouse:

Landscaping: Palm tree trimming is nearly complete, and old flowers around the clubhouse have been cleared to make way for new fall plantings.
Lot Construction: New builds and lot improvements are underway, with foundations being poured and walls going up across the resort.

Lake Dredging: Phase 1 in Action

One of the largest projects this summer is dredging the lakes on Phase 1 of the golf course.

The southern lake is finished, and crews are wrapping up the northern lake using a larger, more powerful dredge.
Fun fact: countless golf balls have been discovered in the northern lake—any guesses on the final tally?
Once the massive black silt bags dry under the summer sun, they’ll be opened and the nutrient-rich material will be repurposed by our grounds team.
