The Power of RESORT HOSTS at Outdoor Resort Indio

At Outdoor Resort Indio (ORI), our strongest selling point isn’t just the palm trees, golf course, or sparkling pools—it’s the people. ORI is, at its heart, a community of active, friendly Class A RV owners who love this lifestyle and love welcoming others into it.
And nowhere is that more obvious than during a resort tour.
More Than Just a Tour—It’s a First Impression of ORI’s Community
When prospective buyers visit ORI, we can talk all day about how warm and welcoming the community is. But nothing proves the point better than when owners themselves stop by during a tour, introduce themselves, and make a guest feel instantly at home.
One recent tour—held in the middle of September’s desert heat—turned into something memorable. While showing a couple around the resort, one of our year-round owners paused to say hello. That friendly gesture made such an impression that the couple not only felt like they’d already made friends but also decided to purchase a lot. A simple “how-do-you-do” made all the difference.
That’s the spirit of ORI.
Meet the RESORT HOSTS
Behind the scenes, much of this magic happens thanks to our incredible RESORT HOSTS—volunteers from ORI who step in when needed to show guests around. Whether our sales team is tied up or a guest isn’t quite ready for a sales conversation, RESORT HOSTS provide the perfect introduction.
When called, a host hops in their golf cart, displays the RESORT HOSTS sign, and welcomes guests on a guided tour. They share their personal experiences, highlight amenities, and showcase what daily life at ORI really feels like.
Guests love it. It’s not a sales pitch—it’s a chance to hear from someone who has chosen ORI themselves and can speak from the heart. For visitors, it feels like getting the “inside scoop.” For us, it’s one of the most authentic ways to show the resort’s personality.

Proof in Action: A Living, Breathing Community
Tours at ORI happen up to five times a day during peak season, and even in the hot summer months we’ll see one or two a week. That’s hundreds of opportunities each year for guests to see ORI at its best—not just through brochures or presentations, but through the real-life friendliness of owners.
When an ORI resident waves at a tour group or stops to chat or share a story, the connection is instant. They see that ORI isn’t just a resort, it’s a community where neighbors become friends.
Thank You to Our RESORT HOSTS and ORI
To every volunteer who serves as a RESORT HOST: Thank you. You are the first smile, the first welcome, and often the reason someone decides ORI feels like home. And to every owner who has ever stopped to wave, greet, or answer a question from a tour cart—know that you make a bigger impact than you realize. You are living proof of the spirit that makes ORI unique.
So next time you see a golf cart with a RESORT HOSTS sign, give them a wave, say hello, and know how much we appreciate you for keeping the magic of ORI alive.
Here’s to a fun-filled season ahead. See you around the resort!
