If you haven’t played the card game 20, you’re missing one of the most talked-about activities at Outdoor Resort Indio, the premier Class A motorcoach resort in the Coachella Valley.

What started as a casual park pastime has quickly become a signature social event. This season, the “Oregon Mafia” hosted the second official 20 Competition of the year — and it was a huge success. With nearly 100 participants spread across multiple tables, the clubhouse was filled with energy, strategy, laughter, and a little friendly rivalry.

What Is the Card Game 20?

The game is simple, social, and surprisingly competitive. Each player starts with 20 cards and works to eliminate them in order to achieve the lowest score possible. After eight opening rounds, players total their points — and the lowest scores advance.

At this event, the Mafia team tracked every score on a central scoreboard, adding to the excitement as competitors watched the standings shift throughout the day. The top five lowest-scoring players advanced to the final table, where five new champions were crowned.

The afternoon kicked off with a potluck featuring incredible food, followed by raffle giveaways where everyone walked away with a prize.
