CV Link Grand Opening Celebration

Welcome to CV Link, a revolutionary new concept in active and alternative
transportation. Led by the Coachella Valley Association of Governments
(CVAG), CV Link is a 40-mile transportation corridor and recreation pathway
that provides a safe route to walk, run, bike, or use low-speed electric vehicles
such as golf carts.

Greater Palm Springs Pride
Nov. 6-9
The annual event draws more than 200,000 people for four days of events
celebrating and uplifting the desert’s LGBTQ+ community. November 6 and
7 livens up Palm Springs’s gay neighborhood, the Arenas Distract. November
8 and 9, head to Palm Canyon Drive to explore the free festival and catch the
parade on Sunday morning.

Over 2000 flags saluting “local” fallen soldiers and veterans returned to
families from Vietnam, Iraq, Desert Storm, and Afganistan wars. Area for WWI,

recognizing service dogs.

Memorial Ride for the Palm Springs Police Officers Assoc. (PSPOA)
Nov. 8
The event is a police-escorted motorcycle ride from Palm Desert to the
Cathedral City Community Amphitheater, where a memorial service will be
held. The event supports the PSPOA Memorial Fund, which benefits fallen
officers and their families, and will feature live music, a beer garden, raffles, and
vendors.

During this special event, La Quinta heroes are recognized by dignitaries

Palm Springs Veterans Day Parade
Nov. 11
One of the biggest Veterans Day parades in Southern California strides down
Palm Canyon Drive saluting all those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.
After witnessing the hour-long promenade of military units, marching bands,
and other patriotic paraders, attendees can head to the cross-section of Palm
Canyon Drive and Amado Road for an inspiring fireworks display and concert.

Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival
Nov. 21-23
Marvel at modern day hot air balloons — one of mankind’s earliest vessels for
air travel — and take flight at three Coachella Valley venues: Agua Caliente
Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage, The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort &
Spa, and Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City. Visitors have the chance to see
dozens of brightly patterned hot air balloons light up and ascend to the skies
— and bold attendees can even hitch a ride. The fest also features food trucks,
live music, a market, kids’ activities, and more.

Props and Hops Craft Beer Fest
Nov. 22
Dozens of craft brewers gather at the museum, and attendees can trade
tasting tickets for samples of IPAs, lagers, and more. While you drink, watch
vintage aircraft take to the skies, devour food-truck eats, and listen to live
music from local bands. VIP ticket-holders get extra tastings, curated food
pairings, and an extra hour to sip.

Martha’s Village & Kitchen 19th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5k
Nov. 27
The goal of the 5K is to raise awareness about Martha’s Village & Kitchen’s

homelessness in the Coachella Valley. Over 4,000 people attend the event

Cabazon Indio Powwow
Nov. 28-30
The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians keeps cultural tradition alive by holding
annual powwows. Included in the celebration are Native American dance
competitions for contestants of all ages, bird singing, drum contests and peon
games. There are also opportunities for visitors to join dancers in the arena
during non-competitive, inter-tribal dancing. Visitors to the Indio Powwow also
have an opportunity to taste Native American foods such as Indian fry bread
and shop among vendors for jewelry, weaving’s, dream catchers and other
types of Native arts and crafts.

The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens in Palm Desert offers a festive take on
bioluminescence every winter, when thousands of lights go up around the
grounds, creating dazzling tunnels and illuminating oversized versions of the
zoo’s most famous animals, like giraffes, zebras, and bighorn sheep. As they
explore, ticket-holders can snap photos with Santa, purchase hot chocolate
and s’mores (and boozy bevs for grown-up visitors), and potentially spot the
Living Desert’s real-life critters.
