Family-owned and operated by Billy “Q” (Kerry Quaiver) and Darnelle Quaiver since 2012, this inviting eatery delivers big on both flavor and hospitality. Tucked into a quiet plaza on Cook Street, Billy Q’s offers a cozy, modern space with indoor and outdoor seating—perfect for escaping the heat or kicking back with friends.

We first stumbled across it during a busy winter evening—always a good sign when the locals fill the place. Even in the middle of summer, when the patio was empty (it was 104 degrees), we stepped inside to find the restaurant buzzing with loyal diners. It’s that kind of place.

The pizza? Outstanding. Linda and I favor the classic pepperoni and meat lovers. My son and daughter in law talked us into trying the more adventurous “Colbie’s California BLT,” which won over even our skeptical taste buds. Don’t miss their creative signature pies like the “Scooter’s Jalapeño Popper” pizza. For non-pizza fans (yes, they exist), the menu offers generous salads, crispy chicken strips, hearty pastas, and crave-worthy appetizers like BBQ Shredded Pork Egg Rolls. Our daughter favors the chicken strips and salads, they have a wonderful variety to choose from. Their commitment to quality ingredients like whole-milk mozzarella and scratch-made sauces shows in every bite.

Affordable (most meals run $10–$20), delicious, and loaded with local charm, Billy Q’s is just one more reason why the winter is better in the desert. Whether you're grabbing a casual lunch after pickleball or taking the family out for dinner, this spot earns a top spot on our ORI go-to list.
